The release of the remastered version of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix for the PlayStation 4 gives many newer gamers a chance to finally experience a large chunk of the classic PlayStation franchise. And to help them begin their journey, Square Enix has released a new “Welcome to Kingdom Hearts” video to give the series’ new players a glimpse of what Kingdom Hearts is all about.
The video shows the game’s main protagonist Sora as well as several of the game’s playable and non-playable characters from the Disney franchise including Goofy, Donald Duck, Jiminy Cricket, Captain Jack Sparrow, and more. It also shows some of the Disney villains you’ll encounter, such as Maleficent, and a few of the Disney worlds you’ll be able to explore.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix was released in North America last March and compiles six of the franchise’s games into a single release. The six titles in the remaster include Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, King Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded.
