It looks like fans won’t have to wait much longer for the release of Shadow Warrior 2 on the PlayStation 4 as publisher Devolver Digital has announced that the sequel to 2014’s Shadow Warrior is finally certified for release on the platform and that an official release date would be announced soon.
Shadow Warrior 2 was originally announced by Devolver Digital back in 2015 after the relative success of Shadow Warrior, which in itself was a reboot of the original game of the same name that was released in 1997.

The sequel was expected to be released on the PS4 during the first quarter of 2017 but failed to meet that release window. But with today’s announcement, it looks like fans of the game will finally be able to play it this quarter, hopefully. In the meantime, check out our review for the first Shadow Warrior on the PS4 here.
