7 Days to Die Update 1.13 Today Addresses MD5 Errors

To help fix an issue with MD5 errors introduced in patch 1.12 last week, The Fun Pimps is releasing 7 Days to Die update 1.13 today on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at around 12pm PT/3pm ET.

As you can see from the patch notes, this is a small update:

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Fixed the source of new MD5 errors introduced in Patch 9
  • Removed “trial version” text from bottom right corner of the screen
  • Fixed issue causing the texture of the bird’s nest to revert to the old version

Asked if the MD5 errors have anything to do with the disconnects, Clare from The Fun Pimps said, “MD5s and Disconnections are two separate issues.”

Last week, Clare explained the development-side differences between the PC and console versions of 7 Days to Die:

The Console and PC versions branched at around [PC Alpha Update 14.7] so the console team could focus on bringing a feature complete game (with split screen etc) to console. PC continued on in Alpha.

Rather than an “Alpha 15” update for console, instead the team are working on bug fixes and making the game more stable. Some A15 features (Signs, Dynamic Horders, A15 bug fixes etc) have already come across and the plan is to continue to work on the stability of the console version and then when features are ready on PC, they can start the porting process to bring them to console.

The last few patches focused on bug fixes mainly, but there are features coming to console soon.

You can report any 7 Days to Die issues you’re experiencing over here.
