NieR: Automata PS4 Version Crosses 500,000 Sales Milestone in Japan and Asia

Earlier in April, Platinum Games and Square Enix announced that NieR: Automata has sold more than one million copies worldwide, which includes physical copies shipped and digital copies sold. This weekend, both companies celebrated crossing the 500,000 sales milestone on PlayStation 4 in Japan and Asia alone.

You can see a little celebration via the tweet below:

The developer thanked fans for their ongoing support, with Square Enix producer Yosuke Saito adding (translation via Siliconera):

It makes me truly happy to see it surpass 500,000 in Japan & Asia for PS4 alone. Thank you very much.

According to latest figures, the PS4 version of NieR: Automata has sold over 315,000 copies in Japan alone through physical and digital retailers since launch in February. The game has yet to release in some countries where it’ll be out next Thursday on April 27.
