Hi-Rez Studios announced today that free-to-play fantasy team-based shooter Paladins is now in Open Beta on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, meaning anyone can download it and play for free. According to the PlayStation Store (North America, Europe), it’s a 3.3GB download.
The most-played new Steam game of 2016, Paladins includes four game modes and 24 playable Champions, each of whom can be customized with a loadout of cards and a variety of cosmetic items. In the below cinematic trailer, you’ll get a look at 10 of the Champions.
As Hi-Rez Studio COO Todd Harris points out, there’s more than 8.5 million Paladins players on PC:
After welcoming more than 8.5 million PC players to Paladins, we are excited to bring console players into the Realm. Now console players will be able to experience the deep customizability of Paladins, the only shooter that lets players play exactly how they want to play.
If you want to buy in-game Crystals for Paladins, they range from $5 for 200 to $100 for 8000. Additionally, the Founder’s Pack is still available for $20 USD. It includes all current and future Champions, 10 Radiant Chests, all Standard Champion Voice Packs, and more.
