Bandai Namco has just published its financial results for the past fiscal year that ended on March 31, 2017, and it looks like the past year was great for the publisher as it was able to increase both its sales and profits year-on-year.
According to the report published by the company, it was able to hit net sales amounting to over 620 billion Yen, an increase of 7.7% from last year. It was also able to post an operating profit of over 63 billion Yen and a recurring profit of 63 billion Yen, a 27.4% and 24.7% year-on-year increase, respectively.
The company’s financial highlights report also revealed that from April 1st, 2016, to March 31, 2017, it shipped 4.077 million copies of its games to Japan, 10,516 million copies were shipped to Americas, and 10,933 were shipped to Europe, for a total of 25,526 million copies shipped worldwide. The company shipped 65 games during the past fiscal year.
Bandai Namco estimates that it will once again ship 65 titles during the current fiscal year, which runs from April 1, 2017, to March 31, 2018, with a forecast of 24,400 million copies shipped.
