We’re only a couple of days away from Bungie’s big gameplay reveal event for Destiny 2 and just recently the developers released their first Bungie Podcast episode since 2014 wherein Destiny 2 Game Director Luke Smith alongside Project Lead Mark Noseworthy and Community Manager Eric Osborne inevitably talk about Destiny 2.
Among some other interesting topics about the game, the podcast episode revealed that Destiny 2’s developers are already playing the game in its entirety at home on a private test realm.
Game Director Luke Smith said:
We have the whole game at home, in a private test realm, and we’re playing the s*** out of it. That’s actually pretty motivating because you can see the things that are going amazing and the things that are still rough. We’re not done, we’ve got plenty of work in front of us. If you were playing right now you’d see unnamed items and missing icons, but having a version of the game where you can sit on your couch and relax is great.
Destiny 2 is scheduled to launch on September 8, 2017, for the PlayStation 4 and other platforms. And as previously mentioned, the Destiny 2 gameplay reveal event is set to occur on May 18, 2017 and will start at 10:00 AM PST / 01:00 PM CST. PSLS will be at the event so watch out for our coverage as well as gameplay and hands-on content soon.
