Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, the free-to-play online collectible card game based on the popular mini-game from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is finally entering its public beta phase which begins on May 24, according to an announcement by developer CD Projekt RED.
Gwent Development Director Benjamin Lee said in the announcement:
Public Beta is the next step in the game’s development process, one that we’d be honored to continue alongside everyone who’s been with us thus far. It’s also a chance for many new gamers to play GWENT for the first time and we’re looking forward to making the game even better with their help.
According to the announcement, the Gwent Public Beta will be a fresh start to the game as all card collection and player progress from the game’s Closed Beta will be reset although Closed Beta participants will receive rewards as thanks for their participation.
As previously mentioned, the Gwent Public Beta will begin on May 24, 2017, and will be open to everyone playing on the PlayStation 4 and other platforms.
