Analyst firm SuperData has just released its latest report on the worldwide digital games market, covering the month of April 2017. In the report, FIFA 17, Battlefield 1, and Grand Theft Auto V topped the earnings chart for the month.
According to the report, the success of FIFA 17 could be attributed to the game’s Ultimate Team feature, which helped the title increase its year-on-year revenue by double digits. As for fellow EA title Battlefield 1, its recent DLC “They Shall Not Pass,” helped the game reach its second-place spot.
Lastly, in spite originally launching way back in 2013, Grand Theft Auto V is still able to bring in the money due to GTA V Online and its micro-transactions, with its latest “Tiny Racers” update launching near the end of April.
The other winners in the report includes Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Overwatch, Persona 5, Destiny, and NBA 2K17.
