Earlier this month, Crytek teased “Hunt: Showdown” in a brief trailer. In case you didn’t know, Hunt: Showdown is based on the previously announced Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age, but with a new focus.
According to Crytek, Hunt: Showdown gameplay will be shown at this year’s E3, and it’s being headed by a new (undisclosed) development team. More details for it will be shared at E3. In addition to that, the CRYENGINE business development team will also be on the floor to meet with partners about the engine’s roadmap and features for its next update.
Last time we heard of Crytek, the studio founded by the Yerli brothers (Cevat, Avni, Faruk), reportedly closed its Shanghai offices due to failure to pay the rent and even its employee’s salaries. Let’s hope hope this means Crytek is turning things around.
