Activision Is Bringing Call of Duty: WWII, Destiny 2 & Crash Bandicoot to E3 2017

Activision has announced that they’re bringing these three games to E3 2017: Destiny 2Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogyand Call of Duty: WWII.

With Destiny 2, attendees will be able to try out the campaign and multiplayer on PlayStation 4 Pro at the Activision Booth (South Hall #1001) and PlayStation Booth (West Hall #4322). “Additionally, E3 will showcase the debut of a brand-new Guardian subclass, the Arcstrider Hunter,”  Activision adds. “Wielding a new super ability that allows them to summon an Arc-empowered staff for close-quarters melee combat, the Arcstrider Hunter will be playable for the first time at E3.”

As for the Destiny 2 Open Beta, which is scheduled for later this year, Activision says to “look for announcements” during E3 2017.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will be playable at the Crash N. Sane Experience in the South Hall Lobby at E3 2017, and Activision teases that you should “keep your eyes peeled for a special Crash announcement during E3!”

Call of Duty: WWII, meanwhile, will be playable for the first time at E3 2017, letting attendees join one of five World War II Divisions, try out the new War Mode, and experience Headquarters. It will be playable on PS4 at the Activision Booth (South Hall #1001) and the PlayStation Booth (West Hall #4322).

Here’s details on the five Divisions:

  • Airborne: First to the fight, where you move fast and stay quiet
  • Mountain: Focusing on precise and deadly sharpshooting
  • Infantry: Be the tip of the spear
  • Armored: Bringing the heaviest firepower
  • Expeditionary Force: Packing heat with incendiary shells

And here’s what Activision says about War Mode and Headquarters:

In addition to the traditional Multiplayer, players will also be treated to the brand-new War Mode, developed in partnership with Raven Software. War Mode is an all-new game mode where players must work as a team to defeat the enemy. This narrative-driven Multiplayer experience immerses players in iconic World War II locations. Allied and Axis forces clash in team-driven assault and defend missions for key strategic objectives, bringing an entirely new dynamic to Call of Duty.

Players will also experience Headquarters, a franchise first, all new off-the-frontlines experience for Call of Duty fans. Players will compete, earn rewards, show off their accomplishments, and connect with friends. Unlike anything experienced in Call of Duty to date, Headquarters transforms the Multiplayer experience by redefining how players engage with the game and with each other.

Just like Destiny 2, expect to hear more about the upcoming Call of Duty: WWII beta during E3 2017.

In the press release, Activision said Call of Duty: WWII is out on November 3 and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is out on June 30, but they didn’t mention the release date for Destiny 2. Last we heard, it’s scheduled to release on September 8 for PS4 and Xbox One, and at a later date on PC.

Since Sony has partnerships with Activision on Call of Duty: WWII and Destiny 2, and Crash is (at least launching as) a PS4 exclusive, don’t be surprised if all three make an appearance during the PlayStation press conference on Monday, June 12 at 6pm PT/9pm ET.
