The patch notes for the next major expansion of Final Fantasy XIV, Stormblood, has finally been released, detailing all of the new additions and changes the update will be bringing to the game including new areas, new jobs, new quests, and more.
The patch notes include both updates that are coming with and exclusive to Patch 4.0 Stormblood, which is locked away if you don’t own the expansion, as well as updates relevant to either Patch 2.x or Patch 3.x as the latter is locked away with the previous Heavensward expansion.
Some of the notable additions that Patch 4.0 Stormblood is bringing include the new Red Mage and Samurai jobs and their accompanying quests, a new scenario called “Beyond the Great Wall,” the addition of Grade VI materia, and more.
The patch notes are incredibly massive and will definitely take a while to read through. Those who are planning to play Stormblood will want to at latest gloss through them. The full patch notes can be read here.
Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood is scheduled to launch on June 20, 2017, although those who pre-ordered the expansion will get early access starting on June 16, 2017.
