Rumor: Hero of Visceral Star Wars Game is Named Dodger, Story Details Shared

The Star Wars game being developed by the folks at Visceral Games (Dead Space) and helmed by former Naughty Dog writer Amy Hennig was one of the titles that was sadly not shown off at E3. But it looks like we still might get a few details on the upcoming game as details on its main story and hero were shared by makingstarwars.net.

According to the article, “Project Ragtag” (which is what the game is supposedly being called internally) will take place sometime after A New Hope and right before Empire Strikes Back and will feature a story that is “very complex and practically film quality in totality.”

The article also revealed that the main character of the story will be named “Dodger,” although that’s supposedly not his real name. Dodger is an Alderaanian survivor that is wanted by the Empire. He will allegedly be played by Todd Stashwick (12 Monkeys, Supernatural).

Dodger is equipped with a light whip/grapple stick, which is basically a “magic lasso,” as well as a blaster. He is supposedly able to use both in various ways in combat.

Dodger supposedly enters the game’s story when he is given the opportunity to work under Jabba the Hutt, which leads to him discovering something about the Empire, which forces him to face his past and the destruction of his home-world as he goes off to stop what could be another catastrophe.

While the article by makingstarwars.net claims that the information it received is accurate, it must all be taken with a grain of salt until something official is either released or announced.
