The latest issue of Weekly Jump magazine has revealed that Trunks, or more specifically Future Trunks, will be one of the playable characters in Dragon Ball FighterZ.
He joins previously showcased playable characters Goku, Vegeta, Gohan (Teen Gohan), Cell, Frieza, and Majin Buu. It’s been previously reported that the game is only 20% complete so it might be safe to guess that at least 20 characters will be featured in the game at its launch.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is being developed by Guilty Gear franchise developer Arc System Works on Unreal Engine 4 and is scheduled for release sometime in early 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and other platforms. A closed beta is planned for the console versions of the game sometime during the summer of 2017.
