Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy for PlayStation 4 had a huge launch in the UK, finishing just ahead of Horizon Zero Dawn to become the biggest single-format physical release so far in 2017. Furthermore, the N. Sane Trilogy owns the second biggest launch overall this year in the UK, placing behind Ghost Recon Wildlands.
GfK Chart-Track adds that none of the original Crash Bandicoot games opened in 1st in the UK, and Crash Bandicoot is the 24th biggest franchise in the UK when it comes to boxed software sales from 1995 up to last week.
Looking at the other new releases last week, Micro Machines World Series opened in 2nd, Elite Dangerous debuted in 7th, The Golf Club 2 placed in 27th, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered finished in 32nd, and Valkyria Revolution was close behind in 34th.
Thanks to Crash Bandicoot, boxed games sales in the UK were up 93% week-on-week to 331,000.
