Destiny 2 is the IGN First for July, and to kick things off, Bungie Narrative Lead Ryan Ebenger offered up a tour of the new social space, The Farm.
“This is where you’ll land after you’ve been kicked out of the city by the Cabal,” Ebenger says. “Humanity is in exile here. It’ll be you and a bunch of refugee civilians, Guardians, and vendors that’ll help you on your way. And the space will evolve as you go through the Destiny 2 experience; you’ll see characters come and go, the population will grow… so it’s a very dynamic space as well.”
The video continues by showing the Postmaster, ships, a Cryptarch, chickens, the soccer activity, and more.
Over the course of the month, IGN’s Firsts for Destiny 2 will include Bungie’s vision for the game, three PvP reveals, a closer look at the Sentinel Titan, a closer look at combatants, and more. They’ll close out the month on July 28 where you can ask Bungie anything.
Destiny 2 releases on September 6 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Open Beta will kick off on July 21, with those who pre-order getting access a few days earlier.
