10-Hour Mass Effect Andromeda Demo Available for Free on PS4, Xbox One & PC

A free Mass Effect Andromeda demo is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, BioWare and EA announced. You can grab it from the PlayStation Store (North America, Europe), where it’s listed as a 43GB download.

Playable through November 1, 2017, the Mass Effect Andromeda trial lets you play the full game for up to 10 hours, and your progress will transfer over if you decide to buy Andromeda:

  • Play Up To 10 Hours – This is the perfect time to join the fight for humanity’s new home. Play unlimited Multiplayer and play through to the first planet in Single Player.
  • Carry Over Save Progression – If you enjoy the trial and decide to purchase the full game, your saved progress carries over so you can pick right up where you left off.
  • Single and Multiplayer – All game modes are available in the trial so you can get a true sense of the game.

Both Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 for PlayStation 3 have demos up on the PlayStation Store, and PlayStation Plus members can download Full Game Trials for both of those titles.

In our review of Andromeda, we said, “The BioWare team put so many great things in place, but the main story, the characters, and most of the writing keep the game from being great. Sadly, technical mess keeps it from being good.”
