If you played the Destiny 2 Beta when it was live, you may have experienced a section towards the end of the Homecoming mission where you must deactivate a generator. However, because there’s two spinning arms that kill you upon contact, many players found it to be frustrating.
Thankfully, as Game Director Luke Smith explained on the Namek vs. Saiyan podcast, the issue’s been fixed.
“I was surprised by the turbine, because there’s only one turbine spinning in the shipping game,” he said. “And I was surprised to see two of them.” Bungie revealed last week that the Beta build was actually months old, and Smith added, “That’s a great example of something that we implemented, we found it to be too challenging — you know, especially for that opening sequence of the game — and in the shipping game, we’ve removed it.”
In other Destiny 2 news, Bungie has revealed the Coldheart Exotic Trace Rifle, which is available as a pre-order bonus (it will be available to everyone else after December 5):
