The first of a few new Gran Turismo Sport videos released today comes from IGN, where they had Polyphony Digital’s Carter Jung show them the campaign mode.
After opening with the home screen, the video gives details on three of the four areas of the campaign – Driving School, Mission Challenge, and Circuit Experience (Racing Etiquette wasn’t touched on):
- Driving School – Drive. Turn. Stop. Let’s learn how to operate a car! Things will gradually become more difficult, but there are videos to refer to when you get stuck.
- Mission Challenge (2:40) – Outrun your rivals! Knock over the cones! Clear a variety of missions in tough situations!
- Circuit Experience (5:15) – Learn where to brake and where to drive on each track. Watching the videos to learn the track’s key features is [a] great way to improve quickly!

As the official Gran Turismo website shows, GT Sport will require more than 60GB of space and is capable of 4K, 60 frames-per-second, HDR, and Wide Color.
The site also detailed the PlayStation VR mode:
The game is compatible with the PS VR, providing the user a 360 degree 3D environment to experience. There is a dedicated VR Drive mode in the Arcade Mode where you can drive one on one races as though you are really sitting in the driver seat, surrounded by a real car interior.
Gran Turismo Sport releases on October 17 in North America and October 18 in Europe for PlayStation 4.
