Following the 20-minute video from E3 2017 with Firewalk’s concert at the Mill, Square Enix and Deck Nine Games have released a new, 9-minute Life is Strange: Before the Storm gameplay walkthrough. This time around, you’ll find Chloe waking up “to a home and family that is changing before her very eyes,” and spending some quality time with David beginning at 5:00.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm is three episodes long and will premiere on August 31 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Each episode will last two to three hours, and Episode 2 should arrive eight to ten weeks after Episode 1.
There will also be a bonus episode in Before the Storm called Farewell that lets you play “one last time as a young Max Caulfield.” It’s included in the $24.99 USD Deluxe Edition (the non-Deluxe Edition is $16.99 USD).
The original developer, Dontnod, is working on their own Life is Strange game. They also highlighted the similarities between Chloe and a character from The Emoji Movie:
