“We are adding in free emotes to the game, 8 in total, all designed for communication,” Gun Media’s ThePraetorian wrote on Reddit. “They will be coming in a later patch, but basically a way for people to communicate should they not have a mic.”
As for the smaller map variants, ThePraetorian said, “Currently working on three smaller maps for Higgins Haven, Packanack Lodge, and Crystal Lake. Going to be added for free at a later date. These maps are 40% smaller and offer a way, way, way faster gameplay feel. Should be good for quicker matches where you yell way more than usual.”
Gun Media announced changes to team killing yesterday, and ThePraetorian added that they’re working on a system to boot repeat team killers, but it’s something that requires a lot of time and effort.
Friday the 13th: The Game will be available through retail stores beginning on October 13.
