Square Enix has announced that Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will be releasing in early 2018 in North America. The three-on-three Final Fantasy fighting game will release January 30 for PlayStation 4. Alongside this announcement, Square Enix also revealed that the game will be receiving a season pass worth of DLC, and several special editions.
Here is what the season pass will include:
- Six additional playable characters (includes standard costume and weapon)
- Color variation of the costumes for the six characters mentioned above (two each)
- Additional weapons for the six characters mentioned above (two each)
Meanwhile, there are four separate SKUs of the game, with the most expensive being the $189.99 Ultimate Collector’s Edition. It features a 8.25″ tall figure of the Warrior of Light, a 15 track soundtrack, an 80-page artbook, the game’s season pass, and a unique box & SteelBook case. Other editions include the physical SteelBook Brawler Edition ($59.99), which is the standard physical pre-order version, the digital version (which comes with a mini-soundtrack and Nameless Warrior DLC), and the digital deluxe edition which has the season pass attached to it for $84.99.
A closed beta for the game is set to begin on August 25. Here’s what players can expect:
Players of the Closed Beta Test will be able to try their hand at the team-based brawler, playing as memorable heroes and villains from throughout the Final Fantasy series. Players will be able to experience fast-paced and exhilarating 3-on-3 battles across familiar arenas with the help of powerful and epic summons including Ifrit, Shiva, and Odin.
