Previously we reported that Bandai Namco will add Phantom Gundam to Gundam Versus. At yesterday’s Gundam Versus tournament at C3AFA Tokyo 2017, they confirmed that it will be released in late September, along with one more DLC mobile suit newly announced at the event. The newly confirmed DLC is Nightingale.
The MSN-04II Nightingale is a mobile suit used by Char Aznable in the novel Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack – Beltorchika’s Children. In it he fights against Amuro Ray, who pilots the Hi-Nu Gundam. The latter suit is already included in the base game.
At the same event, Bandai Namco also announced that they are currently working on the second major update to Gundam Versus, which is planned to be also released in late September. So it should be coming around the time the game gets released internationally in America, Europe, and Southeast Asia on September 29.
The update patch Ver.1.05 will add 1-on-1 versus in the online Player Match mode, new Extra Battles in Ultimate Battle where players will be able to play as boss units, and more new features that will be announced at a later time. They also will have more announcements including more new mobile suits at Tokyo Game Show next month.
Finally, Bandai Namco has uploaded recorded footage of the C3AFA Tokyo tournament. You can also watch the above announcement in Japanese in the last few minutes of the video.
