Destiny 2 Gets a Live Action Trailer, PS4 Pre-Load Is Now Available

With less than a week to go until launch, Destiny 2 has received its live action trailer, directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kong: Skull Island).

Here’s the description:

The two-minute live-action spot, New Legends Will Rise, depicts Destiny 2’s heroic character, Cayde-6, as he rallies three Guardians into a battle to defend Earth against the invading Red Legion. The spot is directed by Kong: Skull Island Director, Jordan Vogt-Roberts, and set to Sabotage by Beastie Boys.

The 60-second version will debut on TV this Saturday, September 2, during the University of Alabama and Florida State University game.

For comparison, here’s the live action trailer for Destiny 1, Become Legend:

Other Destiny 2 trailers have been brought out recently, including What Is Destiny 2? and the Countdown to Launch at PS Store:

If you have the digital version of Destiny 2 pre-ordered on PS4, it’s a 32GB download and pre-loads are now live in North America (they should go up tomorrow in Europe). It will unlock at 9pm PT on Tuesday, September 5.

For those in North or South America, you can head over to Live.PlayStation.com, complete the quest (you just have to watch the PS Store trailer), and you’ll receive a Destiny 2 dynamic theme. The quest ends on September 30, or until they run out of codes.

Destiny 2 is out on September 6 for PS4 and Xbox One, then on October 24 for PC.
