During a recent Final Fantasy XIV live stream celebrating the games fourth anniversary, Producer and Director Naomi Yoshida hosted a “Letter from the Producer” to reveal the first details of the upcoming 4.1 patch, titled The Legend Returns.
Patch 4.1 will bring some new main scenario quests to the MMO, as well as a brand new dungeon, The Drowned City of Skalla. Players can expect brand new PvP content as well as new missions across the board. The biggest news, however, the fact that players will finally be able to return to Ivalice in a brand new 24-man raid.
This is something the team had teased for some time, and designer Yasumi Matsuno (best known for his work on Final Fantasy Tactics) joined the stream to confirm that he is writing the scenario for the raid as a special guest.
