Bandai Namco has published preview trailers for the upcoming Gundam Versus DLC of two new playable mobile suits, which are Phantom Gundam and Nightingale. You can watch the trailers right after the jump.
First up, we have the EMS-TC02 Phantom Gundam from the manga series Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Ghost. This is a mobile suit discovered by the title’s protagonist Font Baud, who would eventually pilot it, including in this game. Although it’s not officially considered as a Gundam in the original manga, Font Baud considers it as one, especially since it generates a beam V-fin, which has been iconic to Gundams, when it enters a full power mode. This also marks the first ever appearances of Phantom Gundam and Font Baud in a Gundam video game.
And we also have the MSN-04II Nightingale from the Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack – Beltorchika’s Children novel. This is an alternative, more powerful version of Char Aznable’s Sazabi from the original Char’s Counterattack movie. The Nightingale is both larger and has more armaments than the Sazabi, and Char used this mobile suit in the novel to fight against Amuro Ray’s Hi-Nu Gundam.
Both Phantom Gundam and Nightingale DLCs for Gundam Versus will be released in Japan on September 26, which also means that they will come very close to the international release, where it will be out for North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia on September 29, exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
