Wolfenstein 2 trailer

New Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Gameplay Declares No More Nazis!

As promised yesterday, a brand new trailer for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus came out today courtesy of Bethesda. The gameplay shows off the first-person shooter’s brutal combat, and it features plenty of soon to be dead Nazis as well. I like to think of brutally killing Nazis as an universal language of sorts, and boy is this trailer beautiful.

Check out the new Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus gameplay trailer below:

NO MORE NAZIS! [New Gameplay Trailer]

Here’s how Bethesda describes the new video:

The Nazis have taken over America. They’ve turned Manhattan into a wasteland. They’ve walled off New Orleans and are systematically purging the city, burning people and homes to the ground. And they brazenly walk the streets of small-town USA – going where they want, taking what they want and behaving however they please. But this is not BJ Blazkowicz’s America. The United States will never be broken – especially with BJ on the job, rallying the Resistance and igniting a revolution. Watch the Resistance rise up to strike fear in the Nazis in the latest trailer for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.

Even playing on Wolfenstein II’s “easy” mode (not the very easy mode that comes with a pacifier in BJ’s mouth), enemies take plenty of hits, and dealt out high amounts of damage. Once again, Wolfenstein is set out to be a challenge for most gamers. Checkpoints felt sparse, but were placed at key points just before lengthier battles or boss sequences. One such boss character was a massive mechanized killing machine, which required pinpoint shooting in order to take down with any sort of efficiency. Without giving much away, the ending of the second demo level was badass, and featured a confident BJ not looking back as he wreaked havoc on an entire Nazi base, leaving radioactive dust in his wake. If you want to take a look at how everything went down in this level, take a look at the video above.

If what we’ve seen so far is any indication, MachineGames is gearing up for a non-stop action tour of alternate history America. This tour will no doubt include more glimpses of the United States as it might have ended up had history turned out differently, in a harrowing, yet fascinating, alternate reality that feels fleshed out. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is currently set for release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows platforms on October 27, 2017.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus launches on October 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It’s coming to Nintendo Switch in 2018.
