Capcom has announced today that it will be updating the Xbox One and PC versions of Dead Rising 4 on December 5th, the same day the game releases on PlayStation 4. According to the company, the update will add various improvements that fans have been requesting for some time.

In a recent blog post at Capcom’s site, the studio acknowledged that the have been listening to fans to see what improvements could be made to Dead Rising 4, and they are starting by adding two harder difficulty modes into the game, which will appear in another update a month after the game is out.

More changes to the game include human enemy improvements, which will enhance the maniacs found in the game, giving them newer weapons that suit their character as well as better rewards for defeating them. However, the most important change is likely to that of the human survivors in need of Frank’s help.

Instead of just going to save the survivors, Capcom is introducing six side missions called Distress Calls, which are scripted missions Frank will have to complete in order to find and rescue the survivors.
