Supergiant Games has announced that a brand new, free update to Pyre is out now on Steam, with the update coming soon to PS4.
According to the developers, the update centers around a brand new Campaign mode that unlocked after you beat the story. For those who beat the campaign, the new mode will be unlocked automatically. The mode is similar to that of “iron man” modes in other games, in that it increases the challenge and continues to take your choices and outcomes into account.
Some of the more specific changes in the mode are as follows:
· Base difficulty same as Heightened.
· All Titan Stars unlocked, and some must be used.
· Enlightenment required to rank up re-scaled.
· Cannot load checkpoints or restart Rites.
· Book of Rites and White Lute fully unlocked.
· Slugmarket inventory fully unlocked.
· Feats of Glory introduced much sooner.
· Note: Once chosen, this setting cannot be changed.
In addition to the new mode, Supergiant is also offering fans the ability to download two hours of extra music as a thank you to fans. You can find the links to purchasing the albums by checking out Supergiant’s site, or by streaming them on their Youtube channel.
Pyre is out now on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
