Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Gets New Gameplay Trailer Showcasing Character Customization

Bandai Namco Entertainment has released a new trailer for its upcoming RPG, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, showcasing character customization and some gameplay. The video’s in Japanese but gives you an idea of what to expect. We’ll make sure to share the English version when it becomes available but in the meantime, check out the trailer above.

At the Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival 2017, Bandai Namco announced the addition of Ren and Pitohui from Sword Art Online: Alternative Gun Gale Online as playable characters in Fatal Bullet. According to Gematsu, they’ll be added via a free post-launch update.

In terms of character customization, the publisher recently said:

For the first time in a SAO game the main protagonist won’t be one of the famous anime character but will be the player himself with his own personal avatar. This new feature will be fully supported by several customization options like: gender, appearance and status (STR, VIT, INT, AGI, DEX and LUK) that will affect the combat style and his own adventure that can take a different path of Kirito one. This new Character Creation mode will leave all the power in player’s hands letting him create a strong character more suitable for certain equipment, or a faster and resistant one perfect for close raids, etc.… This new character will be both playable offline and online – co-op or single mode – into the world of guns and steel.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet will release in Japan on February 8, and sometime next year in the West for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
