Bandai Namco has announced two more new playable mobile suits that will be added as Gundam Versus DLC in this month, which are Alvaaron and Buster Gundam. They will be released simultaneously on October 17. You can read more details about these new mobile suits after the jump.
First, we have Alejandro Corner’s GNMS-XCVII Alvaaron from Mobile Suit Gundam 00. This was the de-facto boss mobile suit of the show’s first season which would be normally docked into the mobile armor Alvatore. Although it is currently appearing in Gundam Versus as a boss fight, this DLC will let you play as Alvaaron itself, which has an in-game cost of 400 and can even dock into Alvatore in the command list. It is equipped with GN Beam Rifle and GN Beam Saber, but it can also generate GN Field as a shield.
And then we also have the GAT-X103 Buster Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. This was one of the four Gundams hijacked by ZAFT from Heliopolis, and it is being piloted by Dearka Elthman. In Gundam Versus, it will be a mobile suit that’s fully oriented on ranged attacks, as even its melee command will have it switch weapons instead. Buster Gundam is equipped with Hyper Impulse Long-Range Sniper Rifle, 94mm High-energy Rifle, 350mm Gun Launcher, and 220mm 6-barrel Missile Pod.
After being released early in Japan on July 6, the PlayStation 4 exclusive game Gundam Versus finally had its worldwide release last week on September 29. Other than that, they had also previously made a surprise release of Flit Asuno’s Gundam AGE-1 from Mobile Suit Gundam AGE on September 26, the same day the DLCs for Phantom Gundam and Nightingale came out.
Gundam Versus has also just received an update patch to Ver.1.06 today, which mainly gives some rebalancing to the playable Mobile Suits and supportive Strikers in the game.
