Middle-earth: Shadow of War Wallpapers, Photo Mode Gallery

One of my favorite features in modern games is photo mode, the ability to freeze a scene and fly through world, taking stunning screenshots of the characters and environments. Middle-earth: Shadow of War photo mode lets players bring a camera into Mordor to take amazing screenshots of the Gondorian towers, orc sneers, and you might even catch a glimpse of a Balrog. I can’t help but constantly search for potential screen captures, cycling through every effect to see what might look best.

This is a selection of favorite captures from my Shadow of War review that I felt best represent what the photo mode can offer. All of these images were taken during gameplay and the only effects applied are those available directly in the game.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War Wallpaper Gallery

To use the images in the gallery below for Middle-earth: Shadow of War wallpapers, right click on the image and select “Open in New Tab.” You can then use the full size image for a wallpaper by right clicking and selecting “Save Image As.” Once the image is saved to your computer use your computer’s settings to apply it as a wallpaper or put it on a USB drive and use it as a PS4 wallpaper.

Of course, photo mode isn’t the only thing Shadow of War has going for it, and our review points out how unique the Nemesis System is.

An expanded Nemesis System creates fascinatingly interesting player stories, and the amount of freedom afforded to the player is staggering for a game of this scope. Microtransactions never get in the way of the game itself, so any objection to them is based purely on personal principles. Lore purists may find fault with Middle-earth: Shadow of War, but those willing to suspend their disbelief and enjoy the game Monolith built around Tolkien’s world will find the best Lord of the Rings game to date. With the immortal words of Samwise Gamgee at my lips, I smile and walk into Mordor, returning to the Gondorian boots of the Gravewalker: “Well, I’m back.”
