Destiny 2 players have been eagerly awaiting updates to the game, and while the new Curse of Osiris trailer doesn’t feature any details in terms of new content (that’s sure to come from Bungie over the coming month), it does offer a look at the story, characters, and locations that will be present in the upcoming campaign expansion. It also reveals that the release date will be December 5 this year, so anyone who has purchased the expansion pass will have access to it at that time.
Osiris is on Mercury, the new location that players will be headed to. Ikora talks of a Vex plot to reshape time and space, which sounds suspiciously like the plot of the first game. You can check out the full trailer for Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris above. Knowing Bungie, there are a number of secrets and Easter eggs hidden in the trailer, so be on the lookout for anything interesting, including Osiris’ awesome looking Ghost.
It’s also interesting to note that the end of the trailer shows Expansion II listed for release in “Autumn 2018” which puts it far past the estimated April/May time frame that many people were hoping to see for that second expansion. Expansion 2 is actually releasing in Spring of 2018. We’ll keep you updated with any additional details that are released for Curse of Osiris as they are revealed by Bungie.
Stay tuned for even more news and announcements out of Paris Games Week. It’s only Monday, so there are sure to be tons more announcements later this week.
