Dragon Ball FighterZ Website Updates with Information on New Characters

The Japanese Dragon Ball FighterZ has updated, revealing new information on the three newly announced fighters: Gotenks, Adult Gohan, and Kid Buu. The website also provides an overview of the Arcade Mode, which is a little more in-depth than the average Arcade Mode. Dragon Ball FighterZ releases January 26, 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Shonen Games translated the new character information. Gotenks is closer to a ‘joke’ character, but that’s only in his fighting style than actual power. Gotenks will have his signature Die Die Missles and Super Ghost Kamikaze attacks. Adult Gohan has “his potential unlocked”, and his super changes the function of his moves. Finally, Kid Buu has both speed and power, making him a tough foe to defeat.

As for the Arcade Mode, there are different ranks and difficulties to choose from, and you’ll need to maintain a win streak to get a high score. Courses can have special teams and has you fighting three, five, or even seven consecutive foes in a row!

Make sure to check the Shonen Games article for all of the new information.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is getting close to its early 2018 release. While you’re waiting, make sure to read up on the fighter with our Dragon Ball FighterZ E3 preview:

As far as the core action goes, Dragon Ball FighterZ has a lot in common with other Arc System Works fighting games. The standard light, medium and heavy attacks are present, but a fourth attack button unleashes special attacks. Similar to Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, there’s also an easy to access combo for each character that consists of hitting the same attack button repeatedly. This won’t be a tactic used by skilled players, as more devastating combos can be strung together, but it’s a great way to let beginners stay competitive.

Dragon Ball FighterZ releases January 28 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
