Kamen Rider Black in Climax Fighters

Kamen Rider Climax Fighters Gets Surprise Addition of Kamen Rider Black

Bandai Namco has uploaded a new trailer for Kamen Rider Climax Fighters that introduces every single playable Kamen Rider included in the game. However, despite already explicitly mentioning on their own magazine Side-876 that Climax Fighters would have 27 playable Riders, Bandai Namco makes a surprise addition of Kamen Rider Black as the game’s 28th playable Rider at the end of this trailer.

To those who are not too well versed in Kamen Rider series, Kamen Rider Black is a superhero TV show that was first aired in Japan in 1987. It has been regarded as one of the most popular Kamen Rider shows of all time. Kamen Rider Black is also highly popular in Southeast Asia, where the English localization of Climax Fighters is going to be released at, so one could consider it a good strategy to include the most popular Kamen Rider in the region despite coming from the Showa era.

As the in-game roster should be finalized with this trailer, before any possible post-release additions through DLC, Kamen Rider Black will be the sole representative of the Showa era Kamen Rider series in Kamen Rider Climax Fighters, which will be released exclusively on PlayStation 4 in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia on December 7. Although the probability of an actual Western release is still slim due to licensing issues, there is an English localization available in Southeast Asia.
