Hideo Kojima just showed off the latest trailer for his upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive, Death Stranding. As you can expect, the video was on the strange side. There’s plenty to dissect and think about, so we can’t wait to see the theories that fans come up with concerning the latest video.

As you can tell from the tweet above, it seems like Kojima is simply advertising a potential product, the “thing” that Norman Reedus is seen wearing around his neck in the various Death Stranding videos. However, upon closer inspection, it seems that the inscription on the necklace might reveal some new information.
The inscription is of the Schwarzschild radius, a formula that states that anything within the radius of a certain sphere will have the same escape velocity as the speed of light. The equation itself is often used when describing the event horizon of a black hole. What this means for Death Stranding is unknown, but it could be theorized that Norman Reedus’ character has the ability to either utilize black holes as a form of travel or simply needs the formulas written down for whatever he’s on a quest to do.
Death Stranding currently has no release window, but will be releasing on PlayStation 4.
