Last week, it was revealed that the mysterious One Piece game being kept under wraps by Bandai Namco was called One Piece: World Seeker. Now, the company has released even more information about the game, including that it will be releasing for the PlayStation 4 in 2018. Bandai Namco also announced tat the game would be an open world action-adventure game that lets fans explore a brand new world.
As players would expect, the game will star the main protagonist of One Piece, “Straw Hat” Luffy. In One Piece: World Seeker, players will be able to experience and take part in battles in an “expansive and seamless world” that’s filled with castles, beaches, cities, and more diverse locations.
2017 marks the 20th anniversary of ONE PIECE, one of the world’s most popular manga and anime series which has riveted millions of fans since it started. We’re proud to help usher in a new era with ONE PIECE: World Seeker, an ambitious new entry in the legendary series,” said Randy Le, Brand Manager at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc.
With an expansive open world and story, Luffy will travel through a huge variety of locales in a new adventure that’s as vast as the seven seas.
Of course, World Seeker isn’t the only One Piece game being developed currently, as PlayStation VR owners will be getting One Piece: Grand Cruise VR at some point as well. For more on that game, check out below:
