With summer almost officially here and E3 about to begin, it’s that time of year for games where companies will begin teasing brand new games to the masses. Today, Christofer Sundberg – the co-founder and Chief Creative Officer at Avalanche Studios – took to Twitter to reveal that the studio is working on a brand new IP, and that it will likely be getting shown off at the upcoming E3 2018 conference in some capacity.
During my daily stroll around the studio I passed by one of our self-publishing teams and it looks like something is going down… in flames! #newip #24hrs #E32018 #AvalancheStudios #RelentlessForwardMotion pic.twitter.com/5AFaR1vViv

Without diving too deep into conspiracies on what the game could be, it does look like players will have to fend off creatures of some kind, as the image on the computer in the picture shows two players aiming a weapon at some sort of creature charging at them. Thankfully, Sundberg included some timely hashtags in his tweet that make it seem like we’ll be getting more information either today (he tweeted this out yesterday) or, at the very least, during E3 next week.
We’ll make sure to update this once Avalanche fully unveils what the game is, but while we wait for confirmation on what the game is, make sure to let us know below what you’re hoping for from the Just Cause developers. Do you want a new IP from them, or would you rather they focus on an already established franchise?
