E3 2018: Two New SNK Heroines Characters Confirmed

Just in time for E3 2018, two new characters are joining the ranks in SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy. The two new SNK Heroines characters are Luong and Mian. Both of these characters are acrobatic martial artists according to a recent press release, and they hail from the King of Fighters series.

The interesting thing about Luong and Mian is that they’re both newcomers to the scene, introduced in 2017’s The King of Fighters XIV. Mian is a Sichuan opera dancer, one of her major character ticks being that she doesn’t remove her mask often. Of course, in this game she’s wearing like a fraction of a mask. Her fighting style is a mixture of dancing and martial arts called “Sichuan Bushinryu.” Luong is a “femme fatale” sort of character, described as taking great pleasure in combat and using unconventional attacks. In SNK Heroines, Luong’s Dream Finish is called “Tou,” and Mian’s Dream Finish is called “Rangurenbu.”

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is set to release on September 7. Other characters confirmed so far are Athena, Kula, Mai Leona, Yuri, Nakoruru, Shermie, Sylvie, Zarina, and Love Heart. So far the roster includes characters from King of Fighters, Samurai Shodown, and technically Athena and Ikari Warriors.
