Rage 2 Multiplayer dropped

E3 2018: RAGE 2 Drops Mutliplayer Fun in Favor of Proper Single-Player

Following the E3 2018 RAGE 2 demo and trailer, Bethesda Softworks confirmed that the game won’t have any multiplayer modes. So, yeah, RAGE 2 multiplayer is apparently a no-no. The original, on the other hand, featured co-op multiplayer and a vehicular combat mode. Contrary to that, both id Software and Avalanche Studios promised to concentrate exclusively on making this game a single-player experience.

Avalanche’s Magnus Nedfors said, “We’re just focused on the best open world single player game that we can make. I personally really believe you can make single player games really fantastic, so that’s what we’re focused on.”

The cooperation between Avalanche and id clearly resulted in some pretty smooth gameplay mechanics, at least judging from what we’ve seen in the recently published RAGE 2 3 2018 gameplay footage. While many gamers may not like the lack of multiplayer, it’s certain that there will be plenty to enjoy when it comes to single-player action – from intense shootouts, to riding around in all sorts of cool and unique-looking vehicles.

Let us know what you think about this decision to exclude multiplayer from RAGE 2. It sort of makes sense when you think about it. Focusing on the solo experience and properly polishing it is better than having two lackluster modes, wouldn’t you say?
