Kingdom Come: Deliverance Update 1.6 Out Now, Introduces New Mode

Earlier this month, we reported on a separate patch that hit Warhorse Studios’ Kingdom Come: Deliverance. This patch included “a few new features and a pretty lengthy list of fixed issues for the game, [with] over 200 bug fixes [being] implemented into this new patch.” Now another patch has arrived in Kingdom Come: Deliverance‘s Bohemia, this time introducing a new hardcore mode and a host of other bug fixes.

According to PlayStation Universe, the patch notes come from the game’s official Steam store page. As stated on the Steam store page, Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s hardcore mode turns the game into “more [of] a survival type RPG, where you will need to pay even more attention to Henry’s health, stamina, energy, and nourishment, including his location/whereabouts.” As if the game wasn’t hard enough already, Warhorse Studios has turned its difficult action-RPG into a sort of life simulation. Be careful with who you engage in battle with, as it could almost certainly spell immediate death for Henry and his story.

In addition to transforming the gaming into a “survival type RPG,” Warhorse Studios have fundamentally changed game mechanics to make hardcore mode feel a little more hardcore. According to the patch notes, hardcore mode removes North, South, East, and West from the compass; only highlights waypoints when you get near them; prevents you from fast traveling; stops autosaving; increases tax so traders pay less and decreases rewards; and more. So if you’re really looking for that role-playing simulation, that hardcore experience from a role-playing game, Warhorse Studios has heard you loud and clear.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
