Anime Expo 2018 is a time for geek outs, announcements, and reminder. On this front, Aksys Games happily announced their roster of upcoming games at their panel Friday evening. Here’s a rundown on each of them:
Death Mark (PS4, PS Vita, and Nintendo Switch) is a horror visual novel originally release in June 2017, in Japan only. Now this spooky story is finally making its way to Europe and North America. The premise is as follows: “a strange rumor is spreading in Tokyo’s H City: those who possess the “mark” will die. Unexpectedly appearing on the body, like a chewed up birthmark, the “mark” is said to result in an unknown death. Now, having lost your memory, you stand before a mysterious house said to protect those who possess the “mark” As the doors swing open, the countdown to death has already begun.”
Ghost Parade (PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam) is a 2D side-scrolling action-adventure game that, interestingly enough, features updatable stories. Although it’s unclear exactly what that means yet. The game is slated for a 2019 release and is “set in a beautiful, mystical forest, the game follows a little lost girl named Suri as she tries to make her way home. Along the way she befriends mythical ghosts who guide her and in return ask for Suri’s help in taking back the forest from the humans who are destroying it.”
Code: Realize ~Wintertide Miracles~ (PS4, PS Vita) originally released last December in Japan, this title presents the further adventures of Cardia and the cast of ~Future Blessings~.
Stardust Galaxy Warriors: Stellar Climax (Already on PS4, Xbox One, Now releasing for Nintendo Switch eShop) is “a fast-paced 1-4 player local co-op action shooter, combining SHMUP/Brawler gameplay with RPG elements.” Prior to its console debut, the game existed on Steam as well. The campaign includes 30 story stages which you will navigate inside one of give mechs, each with their own super-weapon and special ability. The Game also features New Game Plus, in the form of a more difficult mode with new boss features and added enemies.
