Uwe Boll Documentary Announced and Is Quite Explicit

Uwe Boll, the man behind numerous video game film adaptations, is getting his own documentary. Fuck You All: The Uwe Boll Story will take an inside look at “the most hated man in Hollywood” and feature interviews with co-workers, critics, and Boll himself. In a brilliant touch, the title is a reference to the German director’s now-infamous Kickstarter rant.

Take a look at the trailer for Fuck You All: The Uwe Boll Story. As a warning, it (naturally) contains explicit language:

Boll is quite possibly one of the most notorious names in video games. He has been involved with numerous video game film adaptations, including The House of the DeadAlone in the Dark, BloodRayne, and Far Cry. They are all infamously bad, with some even considered the worst films ever made, and have contributed to the stigma towards video game movies.

Boll has since retired from filmmaking and opened a restaurant. At this stage of his career, it’ll be interesting to see him look back at these films.

Despite the stigma, film adaptations of video games are still regularly being made. Sonic the Hedgehog and Monster Hunter are only some of the franchises being brought to the silver screen. While we wait for the elusive “good” video game movie, check out our list of games we’d like to be turned into live-action shorts.

Fuck You All: The Uwe Boll Story does not yet have a release window.
