As part of the Tokyo Game Show 2018 announcements, Sony Japan revealed a special edition Kingdom Hearts III PlayStation 4 Slim and it looks amazing. Unfortunately, there isn’t any word on it coming stateside right now. But those in Japan can get their hands on the console when it releases January 25, 2018 alongside the game, which is actually sold separately from the console. The system is available in a 500GB or 1TB model.
This PlayStation 4 slim features a grey and black tartan pattern on half of the console. Across the entire thing, fans can pick out various iconic symbols from the game that are evenly spread out across the top of the system. While this pattern is golden, the majority of the icons are dulled down. The result is the symbols that are actually a vibrant gold stand out. This creates a glistening effect across the console that feels downright magical. Slightly off center of the system is a distinct Kingdom Hearts Crest.
Overall, it’s a very pretty console. Although, it seems to look best when propped up on a stand, which I can’t say is the most common way to place your PlayStation 4.
