New Dreams Campaign Gameplay Showcases Sci-Fi Themed Levels

As part of its ongoing coverage of Media Molecule’s Dreams, Game Informer has published 16 minutes of story mode gameplay, in which creative director Mark Healey showcases a couple of sci-fi themed levels. The video below also offers a behind-the-scenes look at how levels were built entirely from Dreams‘ toolset.

Media Molecule has said that Dreams will allow players to create almost anything that they can think of (except MMOs), and while it won’t have multiplayer at launch, the game will ship with VR support that’ll allow players to create and play using PlayStation VR.

An official overview of Dreams, which sheds some light on its campaign, is as follows:

Dreams is an extraordinary open-ended experience where you can make anything, from interactive adventures and platformers, to shoot ‘em ups, puzzlers and more. The possibilities are endless.

Whatever you create you can then share with a massive online community, where you can also browse other players’ creations, remix them, or use their items, environments and characters in your own games.

Not sure where to start? Explore the action and adventure of Dreams’ story mode, where you play through three engaging tales, in a dazzling showcase of what is possible with the game’s powerful creation tools.

Dreams is in development for PlayStation 4. A beta is scheduled for 2018.
