Koei Tecmo’s Warriors Orochi 4 Character Rankings Start With Kyubi

Koei Tecmo recently ran a character popularity poll for the Warriors Orochi series and is releasing a series of character highlight videos to showcase the top ten winners. We’re less than a week away from the release of Warriors Orochi 4, and the first character highlight to celebrate the occasion and number 10 in the rankings is Kyubi, an original character for the Orochi series who made her debut in the previous game.

Let’s look at Kyubi.

In the trailer, you can probably see why Kyubi is so popular. She has a distinct style, both visually and in terms of her moveset. She fights indirectly with her tails, using them for all kinds of area of effect moves that seem perfect for major crowd control. We also see her use some of her magic abilities, magic being a brand new feature in Warriors Orochi 4 that adds even more depth to each character’s moveset. Also, the lackadaisical way she rides her horse is pretty awesome, too.

In addition to magic, Warriors Orochi 4 also brings Greek and Norse gods to the table, with the likes of Zeus, Odin, Ares, and more. Certain characters from the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series can also utilize the “Deification” feature, which brings their power in line with the gods.

Warriors Orochi 4 is set to release on October 16, 2018 for the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch, and the PC.
