Overwatch Halloween Event Kickstarts Pumpkin Carving Contest

In the wake of the recent Overwatch Halloween Event, Blizzard is taking it to the next level with a pumpkin carving competition. If your baser compulsion to pick up a blade and stick it into some fruit cannot be tamed, then you’d best put those urges to good use by carving up something from any of the Blizzard games universes. Five mutilated pumpkins will be chosen as winners after the contest ends on October 25, 2018.

Pumpkin Submission Tips

• The winning entries will display high levels of originality, craftsmanship, and possibly humor.
• Your pumpkin must be lit up by a candle or other light source in your photo entry. You should include another photo of the pumpkin unlit.
• Pumpkins must be related to the Blizzard game universes.
• Try to take the best picture possible, as picture quality helps make a good impression on the judges.
• Make sure you tell us what the pumpkin is supposed to be in the caption, just in case it’s not clear.

In addition to receiving bragging rights at being the best pumpkin mutilator, Blizzard is also awarding each of the five winners with $60.00 (USD) Blizzard Balance. Sixty bucks could definitely ease the burden of purchase on some of the weapons and gadgets Blizzard has released in the past few weeks, so pumpkin enthusiasts should definitely get to cutting.
