Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled Sales

Over 550K Digital Copies of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Were Sold in June

As we reported earlier, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled sold extremely well. According to the latest SuperData report, more evidence is pointing to the kart racer’s success. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled sold over 550K digital units during June 2019, although it was by no means the month’s top grossing game.

Even though Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled did not make the most money in June, it’s still a huge success. It reached over one million players on PS4 alone, and had the best launch month in the series. Based on these results, we likely haven’t seen the last of Crash, so we’ll keep a close eye on what Beenox and Activision has in store for us in the future.

The full list of top grossing console games for June are as follows:

  1. Fortnite
  2. FIFA 19
  3. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
  4. NBA 2K19
  5. Grand Theft Auto V
  6. Mortal Kombat 11
  7. MLB The Show 19
  8. Devil May Cry 5
  9. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2
  10. Day’s Gone

The top ten console games in terms of revenue earned is filled with the usual suspects, but it’s worth acknowledging the massive success of Grand Theft Auto V, a game that consistently tops sales charts nearly six years after its release.

Crash Team Racing and Grand Theft Auto V aren’t the only games doing well. Overwatch has surpassed $1 billion in all-time-game spending since its release in 2016. And Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege continues to succeed, too, as the game reached $36.8 million in spending, worldwide. These stats are based on revenue earned, not units sold and are based on worldwide results.

When compared to June’s NPD results, many of the same titles can be found on both, although Nintendo certainly made more of a splash in the United States. June’s top ten NPD list is as follows:

  • Super Mario Maker 2
  • Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled
  • Mortal Kombat 11
  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • Minecraft
  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man
  • NBA 2K19
  • Mario Kart 8
  • Days Gone

Keep in mind, NPD does track by number of units sold, as opposed to SuperData.

The clear winners for the month are Mortal Kombat 11, Grand Theft Auto V, and Days Gone, all of which performed well in terms of both revenue earned and units sold.
