Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Strikes on the PlayStation 4 This October

We had previously known that Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes would be eventually making its way to the PlayStation 4 (and PC) sometime in 2019. Now, thanks to Amazon Japan, we finally know when it will appear in Japan. The very wordy Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition will be released on the PlayStation 4 on October 17, 2019. No word yet if this date will apply outside of Japan, as well.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition will be available both digitally and physically at launch. It will also include both DLC packs: Black Dandelion and Bubblegum Fatale. In addition, the collection is packaged with some exclusive stickers and some brand new cover art.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is a bit of a departure for the No More Heroes series. While players still play as series hero Travis Touchdown, the game is viewed from a top-down perspective. It was directed by creator Suda51, though he also collaborated with a number of indie developers on the project. Travis travels through a possessed video game console, and fights his way through all kinds of in-universe games.

It originally released as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, though Suda51 announced a multiplatform release at Momocon 2019. Travis Strikes Again will be the first No More Heroes game to release on a PlayStation system since 2010’s No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise, an enhanced port of the first game.

We’ll see if the release date will be the same for the Western release, but it likely will, considering the Nintendo Switch version had a simultaneous worldwide release. In addition, a PC release date is currently unknown, but as that will be releasing on PC via Steam, it makes sense why there isn’t a retail page yet.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition will release on the PlayStation 4 in Japan on October 17, 2019.
