The first three DOOM games have made their way to the PS4. That’s right, DOOM, DOOM II, and DOOM 3 are all available to download on the PlayStation Store right now. This is in honor of the series’ 25th anniversary, dating back to 1993 with the original game in the series.
You can purchase DOOM for $4.99 right now to relive that classic fast-paced first-person action. It will include the base game, as well as the Episode IV: Thy Flesh Consumed expansion, which comes with nine extra levels. The game will also come with four-player local co-op and deathmatch.
As for its sequel, DOOM II, you’ll gain access to The Master Levels, which are 20 community-created stages moderated by the game’s developers. Like its predecessor, DOOM II will include 4-player local multiplayer. However this entry sends you to the depths of hell and puts the iconic Super Shotgun in your hands to help you take out demons. It’s available for $4.99.
DOOM 3 is an action-horror re-telling of the original DOOM and can be purchased for $9.99 right now. This game launched back in 2004 originally and was praised by critics alike. It comes with Resurrection of Evil and The Lost Missions.

Now all mainline Doom games can be played on PS4, leading up to the release of DOOM Eternal on November 22, 2019.
DOOM Eternal is set to be a re-imagining of DOOM II, as it, too, sends you to hell to slay demons. This will continue the story from 2016’s DOOM reboot, but will add some improvements ans extra features that you’d expect in a sequel. These are things like the new destructible demons system, wherein demons will become visually deteriorated as they take damage. And finally, we’ll be getting live action direct-to-blu-ray film, DOOM: Annihilation, which will release on October 1, 2019. 2019 really is the year of DOOM. It’s not often that we get re-releases, a movie, and a brand new game in the series all within the same year.
Will you be picking up the original DOOM classics on the PS4? Let us know!
